Lana Yutskaya, LMSW
Lana Yutskaya received her master’s degree at Columbia University’s School of Social Work in 2013. She took courses on direct practice with individuals, families, and groups, with a specialized focus on mental health and disabilities.
Lana has experience working with clients of all ages. She is passionate about helping clients that are struggling with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Lana has over five years of experience working with geriatrics and adults with special needs and mental illness in a vibrant community center. After becoming a mother, Lana began organizing workshops for moms and their children. Her mission is to provide mothers with support, connection, and necessary resources to thrive in the world and have healthy relationships with those around them. Lana’s techniques are rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based approaches, mindfulness, and solution focused strategies.
Lana strives to build rapport and trust with her clients. She is empathic and believes that it is important to understand and respect her clients. Lana hopes to empower them by providing her clients with the tools to believe in themselves and to pursue their dreams.
Lana lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks in nature, reading, dining, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.
Lana’s view of happiness is being surrounded by the people you love and enjoying the present moment fully.
