Julie Coello, LMSW

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to understanding why people do the things they do—what makes them react, speak, or feel in certain ways. But even more than that, I’ve always wondered: what do we actually do with that insight? My love for therapy began when I realized that there are often meaningful answers to these questions. Through social work, I learned how deeply our internal experiences and external environments shape one another—and how trauma can influence daily functioning in ways we don’t always recognize.

My mission as a therapist is to help clients reconnect with their inner strengths, values, and sense of meaning—especially during times when they may feel disconnected from themselves or the world around them. I guide and empower individuals through life’s transitional phases, whether that includes work-related stress or toxic environments, family conflict, unhealthy or abusive relationship dynamics, or periods of emotional overwhelm. Together, we work toward greater clarity, resilience, and alignment.

My approach is rooted in unconditional acceptance, compassion, and accountability. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, collaborative, and grounded space where clients can explore their experiences honestly, build self-awareness, and move toward a more authentic version of themselves. I have experience working with children, adolescents, teens, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, relationship challenges, systemic stress, domestic violence, abuse, and family-related stressors.

My therapeutic style is trauma-informed, eclectic, and holistic. I tailor each session to meet clients where they are, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support deeper connection and long-term growth.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active at the gym (Spartan Race enthusiast!), spending time with family, reading, playing Nintendo Switch, and exploring tarot cards and birth charts. These interests reflect my belief in balancing structure, intuition, and ongoing self-exploration.
