Maria Efstathiadis, LMSW
Maria Efstathiadis, LMSW received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies in 2018 from New York University. She then obtained her master’s in Social Work in 2020 from New York University.
Maria provides therapy that is supportive, empowering, and non-judgmental. She works with clients to manage their challenging life circumstances, improve relationships, and increase their overall well-being. While cultivating their self-esteem, Maria works with children and adolescents to help them overcome anxiety, depression, and insecurities.
Fluent in both English and Greek, Maria specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. She views her clients from a holistic perspective to determine the needed therapy approach that ideally suits each individual.
Maria was born and raised in Astoria, Queens. When not working, Maria enjoys live theater performances.
Maria finds happiness in exploring new places and by evoking laughter and joy in her loved ones.
