At Resilient Mind Psychotherapy in Brooklyn, NY, our team of dedicated psychotherapists, including LCSWs and LMSWs, is committed to providing high-quality care for individuals grappling with a range of mental health challenges. One area of expertise lies in the comprehensive treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and the often co-occurring anxiety disorders. Our holistic approach integrates evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Art Therapy, fostering resilience and promoting lasting well-being.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is a complex mental health condition characterized by persistent, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) performed to alleviate anxiety. At Resilient Mind Psychotherapy, we recognize the unique nature of each individual’s struggle with OCD and tailor our treatments to address the specific needs of our clients.
Research consistently supports the efficacy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a gold standard in the treatment of OCD. Our therapists employ a compassionate and collaborative CBT approach, working with clients to identify and reframe obsessive thoughts while developing healthier coping mechanisms. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a specialized form of CBT, is particularly effective in gradually exposing individuals to feared thoughts or situations, allowing them to build resilience and reduce the need for compulsive rituals.
In addition to CBT, we integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which emphasizes acceptance and change strategies. DBT equips individuals with the skills to manage distress, regulate emotions, and improve interpersonal effectiveness, enhancing overall well-being.

We look forward to supporting you on your journey! Mike Gulbin2024-11-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son has been seeing Stacy for about a month so far. He was very resistant at first because of a bad experience he had with another virtual therapist so this had to be a home run. So far we’re off to a really good start. He’s a bit closed off at the beginning of each session but from what I can tell, Stacy has gotten him to open up quite well. So I’m very happy.
Owner's reply
Thank you for sharing your positive experience, Mike! We're glad to hear that your son is starting to open up and that Stacy is making a difference. Your support means a lot to us, and we look forward to continuing this journey together. NATALIA ORTIZ2024-10-03Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
