Olesya Lazarev, LMSW
Olesya Lazarev attained a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and completed her undergraduate studies in 2013 at Hunter College in New York.
Olesya has had a passion for self-improvement, physical, and mental health for most of her life which set her out on a career path and mission to help her clients through meaningful and therapeutic relationships.
Olesya utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches and Person-Centered and Solution-Focused individual and group therapy modalities with her clients to help them navigate depression, anxiety, pain, loss, anger, and grief along with relationship, personal, and geriatric issues.
Olesya resides in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and their young daughter. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her orchid collection, gardening, browsing exhibits in New York’s art museums, and practicing yoga.
Olesya’s definition of happiness is living to your own standards and not relying on anyone else for your own happiness. We can only control ourselves, not others. To be truly happy, we need to love ourselves – the good and the bad.
